Set Up Requirements

Billing Services

  • We bill for general medical specialists, intensive care & emergency medicine medicine. Surgeons including specialties in Bariatric, Colorectal, Cardiothoracic, General, Neurosurgery, Plastic & Reconstructive.


  • Efficiency is key and billing at Gold Coast MedBill is currently submitted to relevant parties in under 24 hours of supply from specialist.


  • We are flexible with how you would like to submit your billing - email, text, in person collection (if local) & by post. Please note Australia Post can have delivery delays up to 1 week if posting locally.


  • We use Eclipse claiming which means faster payments and payment direct into your nominated bank account.
  • Provision of Informed Financial Consent to all relevant patients that have an out-of-pocket expense (gap).


  • All patient out-of-pockets are collected prior to admission, unless unplanned.


  • All out-of-pocket payments are paid into your nominated bank account within 1 business day of service date.


  • Process billing to all Health Funds, Medicare, DVA, Workcover, Third Party & Public Contract.


  • For Specialists located on the Gold Coast, in person meetings (including outside business hours) can be arranged if required.

  1. Fee is charged at a percentage of paid billing &  invoiced monthly. 
  2. No additional set up fees, locked in contracts or unforeseen costs.
  3. No set minimum billing requirements.


Fee Includes:

  • Complete setup with Medicare, Health Funds, DVA, Workcover.
  • Medicare & Health Fund verification.
  • All billing & rejections.
  • Creation & collection of signed Informed Financial Consents.
  • Collection of all patient out-of-pocket expenses (gaps).
  • Payment reconciliation.
  • Debt recovery.
  • Quarterly summaries.

  • A provider number specific to Gold Coast MedBill is required-  you can easily obtain a new provider number by accessing your HPOS (PRODA) account: https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/organisations/health-professionals/services/medicare/hpos , alternatively you can obtain a new provider number by https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/organisations/health-professionals/forms/hw019


  • GC MedBill will pre fill all necessary Medicare & Health Fund forms for you, you will only be required to apply your signature to the documentation. Please note that set up with Medicare & Health Funds can take  2-4 weeks.


  • For any specialists who prefer registration documentation to be supplied and obtained in person please contact Gold Coast MedBill to schedule a time.
